The Project Athena Toolkit can used to evaluate efforts to recruit and train future faculty in Library and Information Studies (LIS). It is currently under development with completion anticipated in the spring of 2005. These tools will be available Spring 2005.

Goals-based Tool
This evaluation tool is used to assess the fit between the efforts being made in LIS education and related national efforts in other disciplines.

Process based Tool
This evaluation tool is used as a school progresses through a project to recruit and train future faculty.

Outcomes-based Tool
This evaluation tool is used to assess how a program has prepared a doctoral student for a faculty position.
